It's not subtle, but there's nothing subtle about the subject matter. Always love how there's (at least) one thing that sticks with you in Garland's movies (dance in Ex Machina, bear in Annihilation, hand in Men)

There's such a huge comedy-shaped hole in recent mainstream movie releases; it's so nice to laugh at a movie that was actually meant to be laughed at. Well worth your 90 minutes.

There's a lot here that I've been unable to get out of my head even three days later, but there's one thing in particular: that OJ and Em needed to do this for the money. Doubly so that there was *never any question* on whether or not to continue. It had to be done. They needed the money.
What a great indictment of the general malaise that Millenials face. Our parents could work for a pre-determined amount of time and then collect a pension that kept them set for life. My generation has to piecemeal sell their family's prized possessions in order to purchase a camera set up to film something that wants to kill them in hopes that Oprah will give them enough money to make rent for the next six months.
The Batman, 2022
I'm more writing this review as a test of what this looks like the RSS feed. But I did like this movie! It felt a little long, but not necessarily in a bad way. Movies like this take time to develop, which was a nice change from most superhero movies.
